Position Overview

The Sage Business Development Executive 2 is responsible for lead generation and deal closures for enterprise clients with requirements that match the Sage value-appropriate and reuse model. This position has the responsibility to develop and sign leads in the target markets and identify key stakeholders to engage with. Strong selling and organizational skills are required for this role along with knowledge of the IT Asset Management and Disposition industry.


  • Develop strong knowledge of service offerings to enable consultative selling approaches to enterprise prospective clients
  • Generate enterprise leads in target industries
  • Identify key contacts in each major stakeholder area (IT Operations, ITAM, Security, Finance, Environmental, Philanthropy and Sourcing/Procurement)
  • Qualify leads and arrange and host discovery calls with prospective clients
  • Utilize solution-selling approach to match target clients with Sage services
  • Schedule and perform client portal demonstrations
  • Develop service proposals and participate in RFP responses
  • Coordinate contracting activities with Sage contracts team and sales leadership
  • Provide a soft transition to Client Engagement team and participate in new customer onboarding process

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including demonstrated ability to interact with high-ranking individuals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated worker
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed goals and quotas
  • A minimum of 5 years-experience in the ITAD industry
  • Excellent networking and negotiating skills.
  • Superior listening skills to identify customer pain points and ability to engineer solutions for clients
  • Experience developing and writing winning proposals
