Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor

Position Overview

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining a constant flow of product moving through the shipping process

Essential Functions:

  • Provides leadership to site teams that enables the successful day-to-day operation of the facility with a strong focus on quality, safety, and organization.
  • Prioritize orders to ensure SLA’s are met. Review open orders to be completed that week/day
  • Ensure work areas are properly labeled with appropriate signage.
  • Aisleway and work area are maintained free of congestion, trip and fall hazards and orphaned product.
  • Review open order queue to ensure shipments are properly entered and locations ready to stage outbound shipments timely.
  • Ensure staff is trained in the ability to print orders, pick, package, stage for shipping and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience supervising a manufacturing or Logistics operation including implementing cost control and savings plans, including in an ISO/OHSAS certified facility to include documentation of procedures/work instructions and verifying compliance and effectiveness of same.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and us Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of and performance achievements in continuous improvement programs with results.
  • A hands- on leadership willing to work with the team to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Mentoring and coaching personnel. Achievements in working with teams and leading decision-making processes in a team environment.
  • Experience in using a complex ERP/ Inventory systems to achieve results and understand performance of the operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse motorized equipment use and certification.
  • Previous E-Commerce operational understanding.
